Meaning
- (sentence-final particle) used in questions to link back to prior discourse or context ("what about...?", "and...?")

How it's used
Bounces a question back without repeating it — 我很好，你呢? (I'm fine, and you?). It also softens a question about where something is: 我的书呢? And it can mark an ongoing situation: 他在睡觉呢.
