Meaning
- (question particle for "yes-no" questions)
How it's used
Turns any statement into a yes/no question by adding it at the end — nothing else moves. 你是学生 → 你是学生吗? English inverts the word order; Mandarin doesn't. Don't use it with a question word: 你去哪儿? is already a question.
